National Cadet Corps received President’s Colours and Corps Colours.

On 19th February the Colour Awarding Ceremony was held at the National Cadet Corps Training Centre, Rantambe.
Hon President Ranil Wikremesinghe graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
State Minister of Defence Hon Premitha Bandara Tennakoon, National Defence Advisor, Hon Sagala Ratnayake, Secretary Defence Gen Kamal Gunaratne, Secretary to the Ministry of Education Mr Nihal Ranasinghe, Commander of the Army Lt Gen Vikum Liyanage, Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera and a number of senior Officers of Tri Forces and VVIPs graced this grand event.

In recognition of dedicated service to the nation moulding the student community to disciplined citizens with leadership qualities and securing sovereignty and territorial integrity of the motherland for 142 years upholding it’s motto ‘Never be Unprepared’ the National Cadet Corps is awarded with President’s and Corps Colours by Hon Ranil Wikremesinghe the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
