Chief of Defence Staff General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil was accorded a Guard of Honour by the Defence / Police Cadets and the Oriental Cadet Band of SWRD Bandaranayake College, Kurunegala, as he graced the Investiture of Prefects 2023/2024, as the Chief Guest, on the invitation of the Principal, Staff and the Board of Prefects of the college, on 4 August 2023.Director National Cadet Corps, Brigadier Corps Secretary, Commanding Officer, Officers and Permanent Staff Instructors of the 4th battalion representated the National Cadet Corps on the invitation of the the Principal, Staff and board of prefects. whereas Senior Assistant Secretary of Education, North Western Province, Provincial Directress of Education, N-W Province, Zonal Director of Education, Kurunegala and several other Senior Officers of the North Western Province and VIPs were present at this colourful event.This Guard of Honour with prestigious colours was commanded by Capt Asanka Ranasinghe and the Second-in-Command was Lt PAPR Edirisinghe.
