In parallel to the National Cadet Corps’ Anniversary Celebration events, an Overnight Pirith Chanting Ceremony was held at the National Cadet Corps Training Centre, Rantambe, on the 29th of April 2023.The aim of this religious event was to pass merits to all past officers and cadets who made the supreme sacrifice and passed away, to invoke blessings to serving and past officers, cadets, civilians and all their families, and also to invoke the blessings of the noble triple gem to conduct all scheduled future camps successfully.This Overnight Pirith Chanting Ceremony was followed by a morning alms giving to 12 Buddhist monks.The Venerable Maha Sangha blessed the National Cadet Corps as an organization as well as the Director NCC, all Officers, Permanent Staff Instructors, Cadets and members of civilian staff of the Corps on this significant day. The Director NCC, all Principal Staff Officers, Provincial Deputy Directors, Staff Officers, Commanding Officers, Adjutants, Training Officers, Commandant and the staff of NCC Training Centre, Rantambe attended this annual event with good hopes and wishes for the betterment of the National Cadet Corps.
