Cadets of National Cadet Corps visited the Indian Naval Submarin, INS Vagir, at Colombo Fort, on the invitation of Indian High Commission in Colombo, on 20 and 21 June 2023.On 20 June, 03 officers and 50 cadets from 2nd, 18th and 23rd battalions and on 21 June, 03 officers and 50 cadets from 26th battalion visited this 67.5 metre long submarine of the Indian Navy with 60 crew members. The crew of the submarine has arrived in Colombo Harbour to take part in a special Yoga programme.The High Commission of India in Colombo, crew of Indian Naval Submarin and Sri Lanka Navy marked the International Yoga Day which falls on 21 June together. A special yoga programme was conducted by them at Colombo Harbour.Director, officers and cadets of the National Cadet Corps pay their gratitude to High Commissioner and the officers of the High Commission of lndia in Colombo, the State Minister of Defence and the Secretary Defence for offering such precious opportunities to cadets of NCC Sri Lanka.
