Lieutenant KPSW Kumara who was serving at Sedawatta Siddartha Vidyalaya was seriously injured due to a Motorbike accident On 17 August 2020.In The process his right arm was damaged and right leg was amputated. The Deputy Director – Western Province, the Commanding Officer and Fellow Officers of 3^rd Battalion NCC donated a wheel chair to the relevant officer at national Hospital of Colombo on 26 August 2020 on the initiative of the Director of National Cadet Corps.
