An important discussion took place between the National Cadet Corps and Ministry of Education authorities, at Isurupaya, Battaramulla, on 23rd February 2023.
Director NCC Brigadier GS Fonseka USP psc with Principal Staff Officers at HQ NCC discussed important matters they encounter while performing duties.
Secretary to the MOE Mr. Nihal Ranasinghe with senior officers chaired the discussion.
As the Hon President emphasized in his speech at the Colours Awarding Ceremony on 19th February, they discussed to increase the strength by registering new platoons. They made it compulsory to commence new cadet platoons in every National school in Sri Lanka. New cadet Platoons are to be raised in Northern and Eastern provinces with the vision of building friendship and harmony among communities and to become future leaders with mutual understanding. These senior officials tried to sort out problems encountered by NCC officers in schools and those who are mobilized to defence establishments.
