Corps Regimental Sergeant Major is the senior most rank, a cadet can reach during their cadeting career at schools. Therefore every able cadet dreams of achieving this difficult target during their cadeting career. The selection process of Senior Non Commissioned Officers who are eligible to apply for this senior most appointment starts in the battalion level and then the provincial level and ultimately the national level selection is done by a specially appointed board of senior officers by the Director NCC.
On 06 June 2023 the two CRSMs were appointed for a period of one year w.e.f. 06 June 2023, by the Director, NCC .

A/01/1758 WO 1 KHKM Silva of Dharmasoka Vidyalaya, Ambalangoda, 1st Battalion, was appointed as the Corps Regimental Sergeant Major-Boys.

A/25/1143 WO1 MWAM Kulasooriya of Parakramabahu National School, Polgahawela, 4th Battalion was appointed as the Corps Regimental Sergeant Major-Girls.
