13 NCC Officers and 526 Cadets marched proudly, adding an extra beauty to this nationally important event. Starting from 25th of January onwards the Officers and Cadets had put in much effort to present the nation an elegant show, which became clear this morning as those who witnessed, praised and appreciated their performance.This year for the first time NCC troops marched behind the military troops column and the number of cadet participants increased with the blessings of the State Minister of Defence Hon Premitha Bandara Thennakoon and the Secretary of Defence General Kamal Guneratne (Retd) WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc MPhil.The NCC pays its gratitude to both of them for the efforts made to develop and produce disciplined citizens and leaders to the country through NCC. The credit goes to all Senior Officers and Officers, the trainers of NCC who made this event possible alongside Cadets, their parents, the principals and the staff of all the schools which sent their Cadets.Overall, the above mentioned, helped make this grand event a success. Another successful milestone achieved by the NCC, the premier institute of moulding and grooming future leaders and disciplined citizens.
