Nearly 1000 junior cadets took part in the Passing Out Parade on Thursday 26th September 2019 upon successful completion of Junior Cadet Championship Camp at the National Cadet Corps Training Centre, Rantambe. The passing out parade was conducted in a colorful in manner amid a large gathering of parents of respective cadets.

Mr. N.K.G.K. Nammewatte, Secretary to the State Ministry of Defence as the Chief Guest graced the ceremony. NCC has been able to establish more than 1600 Junior Cadet Platoons across the country out of which 408 platoons were privileged to attend Assessment Camps in 10 stages and for the final completions  platoons were selected according to order of merit.

Madampe Karukkuwa Sugathananda Maha Vidyalaya become the most outstanding boys’ platoon while Maliyadewa Girls’ College, Kurunegala secured most outstanding girls’ platoon of the year and received awards from the chief Guest.

A massive crowd comprising of Senior Officers of the NCC, Principals of respective schools teachers and well – wishers witnessed the parade
