The Officers, Other Ranks and the civil employees of the HQ-NCC, NCC Training Centre and 30 Battalion HQs had returned to work on the 17th of April in the morning session, after celebrating the Sinhala-Hindu New Year.
Director-NCC, Principal Staff Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and civil employees of the HQ had their celebrations at the NCC Auditorium while the Commanding Officers, Other Rank Instructors and civil employees of Battalions celebrating at respective Battalion HQs.
